Services and starting prices

Websites, software, and getting stalled projects finished.

Build something new, fix the one thing that broke, finish work that stalled, get a custom tool made, keep a live project healthy, or work out what to do before you spend anything. All six start the same way: you write, and we answer.

Choose the situation that fits

Six services, one person doing the work.

Every price below is a starting number you can plan around. Each service says who it is for, what you get, how it begins, and what is not covered.

Start Something New

What it is

Plan and build a website or a small software project from a blank page, without guessing at the budget.

PricingOne-page websites from $300. Complete small-business websites from $1,500.

One-page packages have a fixed price and a published list of what they include. Multi-page websites cover more ground: separate pages, a contact form that reaches you, the basics that help you show up in search, visitor analytics, getting it live, and handing it over to you at the end. Anything more involved gets a written quote before you commit to it.

Who it is for

Small businesses, creators, and first-time founders with an idea that needs a sensible plan and someone to build it.

What this covers

  • One-page websites at a fixed price
  • Multi-page small-business websites
  • One-off pages and small sites that do not fit a standard package
  • Working out what needs building, and writing the plan down before anyone starts
  • Building it so it works for people using a keyboard or a screen reader, then getting it online

How we start

Share the idea, the people it should serve, and the result that would make the project useful.

Discuss a New Project

What this doesn’t cover

  • Unlimited pages, integrations, revisions, or custom features
  • E-commerce, booking, or advanced content systems unless quoted
  • Third-party subscriptions, licenses, hosting, or transaction costs

Complete multi-page websites

Small Business Website

Starting at $1,500

For a complete multi-page small-business website: separate pages for what you offer, a contact form that reaches you, basic SEO, visitor analytics, getting it live, and handing it over to you at the end.

Pages, revisions, integrations, and functionality are agreed in writing before work begins. This package does not promise unlimited pages, revisions, integrations, or functionality.

Discuss a Small Business Website

Business Website Plus

Starting at $2,500

For larger or more involved websites that may include extra pages, photo galleries, directories, a way to update your own content, booking inquiries, longer forms, and connections to services you already use.

Final scope and price require written approval.

Need something outside a package? Tell us what you need and we will price it with you before any work starts.

Fix Something Broken

What it is

One thing is broken and you need it working again. Bring us the one thing.

PricingQuick Fixes starting at $149

The starting price covers one contained problem. If it turns out the problem has roots somewhere else, or touches payments, logins, or customer data, we will tell you before doing anything and point you to the right next step.

Who it is for

Anyone with a contact form that stopped sending, a site that breaks on phones, a deploy that will not go live, a domain pointing at nothing, or a single stubborn bug.

What this covers

  • Contact forms, booking forms, and other page features that stopped working
  • Layouts that fall apart on phones and tablets
  • Sites that will not deploy, or a domain pointing at the wrong place
  • A specific bug in one feature, or in a service the site connects to

How we start

Send the link if there is one, describe the one thing that is wrong, and tell us what it should be doing instead.

Request a Quick Fix

What this doesn’t cover

  • Open-ended troubleshooting, or unrelated repairs found along the way
  • Rebuilding how the project is put together, or moving it to a new platform
  • Work touching payments, logins, or customer data, which is quoted separately

Finish an Existing Project

What it is

You got most of the way there and then it stalled. We pick it up and get it live.

PricingSmall Project Launch Finish starting at $699

Projects like this start with a $199 Project Review, because what is left to do is rarely visible from the outside. The full $199 comes off approved project work booked within 30 days.

Who it is for

Anyone holding a nearly-finished website, app, or tool. It makes no difference whether you built it by hand, from a template, with another developer, or with ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, or Cursor.

What this covers

  • Reading through what exists and finding what is actually wrong
  • Finishing the remaining work and getting it deployed
  • Repairs and phone-and-tablet layout fixes along the way
  • Handing over everything agreed, so the project is yours to run

How we start

Send what you have and what it is meant to do. A Project Review works out its condition and what finishing it takes.

Start With a Project Review

What this doesn’t cover

  • Every unfinished project at the starting price. Larger work is quoted after the review
  • Enterprise, regulated, or business-critical systems
  • Rebuilding the project from scratch, or large platform moves

Build a Custom Tool

What it is

Software built around one job your business does, instead of a product you have to work around.

PricingCustom scoped pricing

Focused custom tools generally begin at $3,000. What moves the number is how many steps it has to handle, what other systems it has to talk to, and how much it would cost you if it went wrong.

Who it is for

Businesses and builders who need an internal tool, a dashboard, a directory, a booking process, or a small app that does one thing properly.

What this covers

  • Internal tools and dashboards for the work you do every day
  • Directories, booking processes, and the repetitive jobs your team does by hand
  • Small apps built to do one job properly
  • Deciding how it should be built, hosted, and connected before anyone writes code

How we start

Describe the job it needs to do, who will use it, what information it handles, and what should be true once it works.

Discuss a Custom Build

What this doesn’t cover

  • Every application at the starting price. The final number follows the agreed scope
  • Regulated or high-risk systems without a proper evaluation first
  • Features, integrations, or support added after the scope is agreed

Maintain and Support

What it is

Someone who already knows your project, still there after it launches.

PricingStarting at $99 per month

Hosting and third-party service costs are additional when they apply. Whether a project qualifies depends on how it is built and where it is hosted, which we work out before anything starts.

Who it is for

Anyone who wants updates handled, small changes made, and a person to call when something breaks, instead of finding out from a customer that the site has been down for a week.

What this covers

  • Keeping an eye on the site and pushing updates live
  • Fixing small things and answering the technical questions
  • Security patches and keeping the software it runs on up to date
  • Dealing with the hosting and the domain so you do not have to

How we start

Tell us what the project is, where it lives, and the kind of help you would want in a normal month.

Ask About Ongoing Support

What this doesn’t cover

  • Redesigns or substantial new features
  • Large content moves or ongoing copywriting
  • Third-party service charges, unless a plan says otherwise in writing

Technical Planning and Consulting

What it is

A decision to make before you spend money on building the wrong thing.

PricingCustom scoped pricing

Priced by the decision in front of you: how many systems are involved, how much needs digging into, and what you need written down at the end.

Who it is for

Owners and teams weighing what to build, what to buy, or how to untangle a project that is already underway.

What this covers

  • Working out what the project actually has to do, and what could go wrong
  • A recommendation on how to build it and what to build it on
  • Planning for hosting, how it gets online, and who owns what afterward
  • A prioritized list of steps you can hand to anyone, including us

How we start

Describe the decision you are stuck on, what is already in place, and what a useful answer would look like.

Discuss Technical Planning

What this doesn’t cover

  • The development work itself, unless it is agreed separately
  • Guarantees about third-party services or their timelines
  • Legal, accounting, or regulatory advice

Project Review

$199Fully credited toward approved project workStart with a Project Review

Not sure whether your project needs a fix, a finish, or a rebuild?

For any project whose condition is not obvious from the outside, however it was built: by hand, from a template, with another developer, or with AI.

What the review covers:

  • Reviewing the code, the live site or app, how it was built, and how it is currently hosted or deployed
  • Identifying what works, what is broken, what may be risky, and what is worth repairing
  • Determining whether the project fits a published package
  • Recommending repair, partial rebuild, full rebuild, or another provider
  • Preparing a proposed scope and price when further work can be offered

You keep the written recommendation either way. If the honest answer is that a different approach or another provider suits the project better, that is what it says.

How the credit works: When approved project work is booked within 30 days, the full $199 Project Review payment is applied to that project’s price. For example, if approved work is priced at $699, the remaining balance after the review credit is $500.

The review produces a written assessment. Paying for a review does not guarantee that The House of Crimson will accept the implementation work.

Before you worry about the fine print

Nothing starts until you have seen the whole thing in writing.

Every project gets looked at properly before a price is agreed, because the same request can mean an afternoon or a month depending on what is underneath it. Then you get it in writing: the scope, the price, what you receive, what is excluded, the access needed, the payment terms, and the expected schedule. All of it before any work begins.

Sometimes the answer is that a project is not a good fit here, or that someone else suits it better. You will be told that directly rather than quoted for it. Larger organizations, regulated systems, and business-critical infrastructure sit outside the published small-project pricing and are evaluated separately.
